Road Reopens After Suspect Barricaded Himself Inside Chicopee Apartment

Chicopee Police say Pendleton Road is now open following an incident earlier this afternoon when a suspect barricaded himself inside an apartment.

Police did not release any information on the suspect, but said the Hampden District Attorney would update reporters tomorrow.

Police in Chicopee are asking the public to stay away from the Pendleton Avenue area after a suspect barricaded themself inside a home on Wednesday afternoon, May 10.

Massachusetts State Police officials on the scene to help with the situation say there is no active threat to the public. They are working with Chicopee Police to end the standoff.
